Is it true that Ziegler's contract runs up this summer? If that's true then Juve got their leftback issue sorted for cheap.

If this was 2003, Matri would struggle to be on the bench for Juve's reserves. Juve should for the highest if they want to go back to the glory days and players like Matri and Aquilani aren't the answer for Juve troubles. (Although both of them would make a good squad players)
Very different times. You need to look at an acquisition like this in the context of the alternatives available, and the general standard of the league as a whole that is not what it used to be in 2003.

Rolando links (Porto defender) some suggest we are very very close to him .

RB - Bonucci - Rolando - Chiellini

RB - Rolando - Chiellini - LB (Hope not)

RB - Rolando - Bonucci - LB (Worst scenario)

Yes, but there will probably be competition for his signature.
That's true, I can see Milan, Liverpool and few other clubs fighting for his signature.

Yeah the standards of the Serie ain't the same, but still if you look at the quality of the best Italian clubs and compare them to Juve you'd see that Juve's striker are much lower in quality than Milan, Inter, Napoli and even Roma.

Rakitic, 5 games for Sevilla, 2 goals and 2 assists.

A player who was out of contract in summer and bought for 2m from Schalke. :sigh: and another huge big :sigh:
Thought he was bought for 1m. Him and Affellay annoy me, we could have gotten either of them, very cheaply, and both good players. Miss opportunities and major bargains.

    I just checked, it's 1.5m. That's like a third of Amauri's salary. :howler:

Yep, both of them could have been fantastic acquisitions, not to mention bargains, for us.

Even if we're given 100m for transfers, some 50m of those will go for buying Matri, Quag, Aquilani and Pepe.
Why do you keep saying this? If the new manager does not want these players they won't be signed they're loans with OPTIONS to buy they're not set in stone.

The only one we'll likely sign is Quag.
So out of Matri, Aquilani, Pepe, Quag, Motta, and Sorensen, the only player we'll exercise on is Quagliarella? So you're saying Marotta would sign 5 new players on top of what we could use for the coming season?

Come on man, get real. We're signing more than just one of those guys. A lot more.

    Real have yard-sale in summer.

Dudek, Pedro Leon, Canales, Garay, Gago, Lassana Diarra, Benzema and Kaka.

    will be shipped out.
Some pretty good players in that list. Canales would be sweet but yeah, he'll probably be loaned. Gago, Lass, and Benzema are certainly worth going after.

That's just freakin' silly on our part. Marotta saw no "good investments" in those bargains, I suppose. At times I think he uses all this financial jargon but doesn't really know what they mean.

Marotta has the final say. He'll say it's not feasible to sign ten new players in the summer, which is probably true.

Spalletti probably likes Aquilani and Quag anyway. Not sure about Pepe.
