although Neymar seemed to be the big surprise player for the new stadium from what I hear. Juve and the player reached an agreement but a big club could intervene and snatch him up. The deal was top secret but with the agent opening his mouth and possible Billionaire erection on Neymar could blow the deal.
Wait...what? Elaborate. When did this all go down?

edit: This 1 non-EU rule is a pain in the butt. Neymar would be bloody awesome but Dzeko hasto be priority.

Would it be possible to buy Dzeko and then get a loan deal w/option to buy on Neymar to get around this rule?

What would you guys rather see, Neymar - Adebayor or Dzeko - Quag?
I would rather see Dzeko - Quag, with 2 solid fullbacks.

I know we paid a lot for Quag's initial loan (the type of $ that basically guarantees we'll sign him outright), but I would like to see quite a few more good performances from him before we decide to buy him outright. 10.5M $ more is still a lot of money for us right now... money that could pay a large chunk of a Cassano purchase. :D

But seriously; it's fun and all to talk about adding a ton of firepower up front, but our back line is pathetic for a team that is trying to get back to the top.

We need to spend some serious coin at the back... likely in the range of 30M+, for 3 good defenders, ASAP. 2 fullbacks and another CB.

Neymar and Adebayor would cost a silly amount of cash. and our team has too many holes.

Also, fuck Adebayor. Terrible attitude, I think he was overrated while at Arsenal (ridiculous service from the likes of Cesc, Hleb, Rosicky, Sagna, etc.), and I don't want him anywhere near Juventus.

Dzeko would be awesome, Cassano, Benzema, Aguero, Suarez, any of these guys would make a huge difference for us (I think Aguero is the only one who's completely beyond us right now; way, way too expensive).

I know Neymar is good, but I haven't seen enough of him, or know enough about his attitude, to give a valid opinion on whether or not he's worth 30ME, or so. That's a ton of cash for us right now.

That's the latest rumour going on. You know how many are true so don't get too excited about it. IMO we should go for Dzeko. I sure hope the rumours to Bayern are false.

Impossible unless we ask Siena to "buy" Neymar and then loan him to us which will create another controversy in Serie A. It's not like it never happened though but I doubt we'll do it.

We could make a deal with Santos and leave him there another year and then buy him in 2012.

I read his agent's interview and it seems we offered 35 mil for him but were turned down because Santos wants to challenge for the Copa Libertadores title. The part that is confusing is that we have an option on him, because we showed the most interest? I don't remember Neymar being linked with us even once this summer. Even if we did, how does that give us an option on him?

It actually said Chelsea not us offered 35 Million for him in the Summer, but they rejected it because of the above.

Benzema has issues with consistency tbh, while he can be devastating when at his best, he has demonstrated time and time again, that he can be an extremely frustrating player. Benzema is always going to be a big risk for any club.

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest. Its such a shame, because Benzema is a really talented player, and if he sorts out his issues, he could be one of the best.

    Why?

What's the harm in signing a player, getting a few good years out of him, then selling him on for a decent price?

Better that than having the problem of trying to get rid of players who have been kept at the club for too long.

I like my players to like the club they play for, kinda like giggs and scholes over in england
