Not a wide formation 4-3-1-2. 3 central midfielders, 1 attacking midfielder and two strikers

Buffon

New-RB Bonucci Chiellini New-LB

Marchisio Melo Aquilani

New-AM*

Qauq Matri

*Can Krasic play as an attacking midfielder?

Yes Sanchez would be a better fit, as shown by Salvs 4-3-3 formation he posted.
Great 4-3-3 I posted :agree:

This is perfect really.. With to good fullback's and the right coach, we could be back where we want to.
and it would not be a massiv clear-up.. Sign 3, Sanchez, LB + RB .. And take the option on Quagliarella..
Needs CM depth as well (Sissoko will be gone IMO), plus purchasing Pepe (unless Giovinco is a possibility). And Matri.

I wouldn't say Salv's 4-3-3 is "perfect". Too Barca-like for me. I'd rather have a poacher/targetman in the middle of the front three because otherwise we'll be fooling around the box too much. Matri would be the type of player to fill that role I guess, since he is somewhat mobile as well.

But 4-3-3 is the way to go.

Matri would be the alternate, yes. I was tempted to put Quag/Matri but it didn't look neat.

I haven't seen much of Sanchez to be honest and what I have seen of Pastore is that he seems to have really good vision/passing, not to mention a scoring foot. I know Sanchez has pace, skills and is a hardworker it seems but not sure about his attitude.

It would be a toss-up for me but I'm leaning towards Pastore, I think he has the brain behind his technique that is gonna make him great.
