Is this the end of Iaquinta
Too ban I can't +rep you again, this time for the sig. Link of the forum?

I'd rather stick with Iaquinta than sign another striker just for the sake of it, if we decide to sign one it should Benzema, Neymar or someone who is really worth it.

Winger has nothing to do with defensive roles.

It's funny people rely on defensive full backs ala Sorensen. Now people want wingers that can defend too?
This:

Elia ... just like giovinco and so many others, what can we get from these players ?
Think with me.

First there is the obstackle, they dont track back, they dont defend, they dont win duels, they dont win balls. They generally are very bad at putting efficient pressure on players.
So, you consider them "attacking"

This means that other players of the team need to make up for the lack of balance they provide, this is done so that the "attacking player" can do his thing, and make the diffrence.

but here is the catch, how efficient are they really ? how much end product do they offer ?
Elia, just like giovinco, is a player who has a few nice tricks and dribbels up his sleeves, but without an endproduct, and very unefficient.

Del Piero didnt allways play SS, back in the mid/end 90ties, he was playing out in the midfield. yet as it was generally known, alex didnt quite track back.
He offered dribbeling and technique, but also genious passing and tons of goals and assists.

he had a terrific endproduct, and was very efficient. its absolutely no problem in sacrificing some other players who had to make up for his lack of defensive work.

later on, because his terrific goalscoring record, and because the team had less talent, he was pushed to the SS position were we all knew him for many wonderfull years, yet he would never be the original italian prodigy of the 90ties that was the best player of the world.

that aside, players like elia have no endproduct, and arent efficient. this is why they are on the bench.
coaches use them when they need an overload of offensive talent, likely when the team is behind.

sorry, but thats how it is.
