Russia might be the best place to look for players this January. Their season starts in a little more than a month and the teams are preparing for the new season, willing to sell players and looking to buy new players, unlike the other leagues where teams don't want to sell their best players in the middle of the season.
Marotta said that at this point there aren't available players who can improve Juve. That might be true for most of Europe, but in Russia we could find such players in January since, as said above, there are good players there and teams are willing to negotiate their transfers before the new season starts.

Of course, there is the issue of money and the question if we're really broke or we could get some bucks from somewhere.

P.S: And, of course, the problem for us is that 99.9% of those players in the Russian league are non-EU so we'll have a limited choice.

I like what Milan have done so far, getting rid of players like Huntelaar, Borriello, Favalli and Kaladze and brought in Zlatan, Robinho, Cassano, Emanuelson, Boateng and Van Bommel. We should be thinking about doing something like that. First in line is Grosso, Grygera and Amauri.

TBH its easier to get money for young Boriello and Hunterlaar, than Zebina and Camoranesi.

True, but it's also easier to not buy crap players for 5 years and buy players like we can actually use. Like Krasic!
We also got alot of young players which we sell for half of the contracts so if we want to buy them back we are paying for our own player.

Man, all we really had to do was get a good Quag replacement then fix the rest this summer. Our team is good when injury/suspension free. We would be OK if we had one of Quag, IQ, or Toni playing with DP. Now we have Martinez back, hopefully this helps.
