I would like Vucinic.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind taking a gamble on Zarate. We said no to Cassano because of attitude and we all know how that is ultimately going to work out. :sergio:

Why can't we just give it a go with a tough kid? Neymar is going to be tough, no? Yet everyone wants him...Juve has a way of straightening people out.

Yeah probably. He's quite versatile, would like to know from someone who saw him at club level for Maribor, whether he was good as a LM.
He came to Maribor just a couple of months before his transfer to Palermo. Maribor bought him from NK Interblock, which got relegated.

He is really versatile, but I think he is better on the right side, similar to Messi.

And btw, do any of you know Bačinovič from Palermo? He is a defensive midfielder and is at least as talented as Iličič.

I don't like Zarate and I don't rate him that highly.

However, Juve could do with a striker willing to run the channel and move defences around - and the fact he can sometimes do something good on the ball is a bonus.
He disappears for long periods, even numbers of games. That's my problem with him.

No, but you seem to know him. Give us a run down of his qualities, age, price, etc. And why the hell are Palermo oozing with young quality while we watch youtube videos of what we used to have no playing at Parma?

Many said the same thing about Amauri.

"He is strong and can hustle defenders and hold the ball down well"...

"Amauri is strong on the ball"....

Amauri is totally different.

I'm speaking about Zarate as a guy who can provide the sort of off-the-ball movement that Iaquinta does (running in behind to stretch the game or pulling wide to try and drag players out of position), but Zarate having the technique to do something when he gets in good areas.

Obviously, though, Zarate lacks the physique to lead the line as the main striker in the way Iaquinta can.

Zarate seems small to me, but speedy. If we can get him for 8-10m + Amauri I say go for it, but nothing more than that. We are getting a better Amauri just cheaper and younger

Is Zarate gay?

Lazio won't sell Zarate

Juventus target is not for sale, says president

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is adamant Mauro Zarate is not for sale and hopes the striker can become a club legend.
The former Birmingham City forward is a reported target of Juventus,
but Lazio
are pushing for European qualification in Serie A this season.
Lotito insists Zarate's
future has never been in doubt and sees the 23-year-old as vital to the club's long-term plans.
"We have never put Zarate up for sale," Lotito said in a press conference. "He's part of the club's long-term heritage."
Meanwhile, Lotito admits his admiration for Sampdoria
and former Tottenham full-back Reto Ziegler, but has been knocked back in his hopes to sign him.
He said of Ziegler: "He's a Sampdoria player, he's a Switzerland national team player, and it seems he's not for sale."
