I'd like to take the Dane, he's probably one of the best fullback options out and we would get sick Danish fullbacks

Sorenson - Bonucci - Chiellini - Agger

There's no point in getting Agger if we would play him as a fullback.

Yeah, but Dzeko wasn't coming in January either so that makes no difference
I approach the thought of signing an 18 year old (this is in summer 2011) to be our lead striker with some caution, even though I know he's had experience in the EL and domestically. Do you think he will be ready to start in Serie A for a club like Juventus?

I don't think sitting on the bench would be beneficial to him at all.

I think he is ready for a place in a big team yes, but I have to agree that, assuming we reach CL, it might be a bit to much for him to play 3 games a week as only striker.

IMO, he is better then Amauri and Iaquinta who we have now so if we could sell them both and get two new strikers so we can rotate a bit, then he would be ideal IMO.

It's hard to think of another striker we could sign alongside Lukaku, good scorer who doesn't mind sitting on the bench, but I agree, would be ideal to replace both our forwards in the summer.

Good to know he's ready though, unlike other youngsters (looking at Neymar), he is physically prepared for any test.

Indeed, and at Anderlecht, he has been playing 2-3 matches per week, but of course, the level isn't compareable with SerieA so that is why I have my doubts he is ready to be the nr.1 striker for an entire season.
Maybe togheter with someone like Forlan and with DP and Quag, we would have four strikers for two spots, and definately and upgrade on what we have now.

Makes it even more annoying, not to have snapped up Cassano. The entire frontline is questionable save Quag and Dp quality wise. Dzeko almost gone. Time to close in on the Benz. Nothing less.

Toni, Floccari or Gilardino for Juve
Juventus plan to sign a striker in the January transfer and have Luca Toni, Sergio Floccari or Alberto Gilardino in their mind, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gigi Del Neri would like a prolific goalscorer to lead his attack to take some of the burden off the rest of the team.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta is known to be very keen on Gilardino who recently changed his agent, possibly to facilitate a move away from Fiorentina.

Fans of the Viola have already started to get on Gilardino's back, especially as speculation mounts that he will move to Turin in exchange for Amauri.

However, the likelihood of such a deal seems difficult, so Marotta has drawn up a couple of alternatives to satisfy the team's requirements.

La Gazzetta understands Amauri could also form part of a deal to sign Floccari, but even that would appear difficult considering his importance to Lazio.

The prospect of loaning Luca Toni has also been sounded out, while some reports suggest Juventus intend to swap to Davide Lanzafame for Brescia's Andrea Caracciolo.
