Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano believes Juventus have what it takes to win the Scudetto and should be considered favourites.
The 28-year-old playmaker put on an excellent display at the weekend scoring in an entertaining 3-3 draw in Turin.
Speaking to Mediaset, Cassano said: “I have said that Juve could be favourites in the fight for the Scudetto because they have a great Coach like Del Neri.
“They must only play how he wants. At Sampdoria we also need a little bit of time. Del Neri can do a good job because he is an extraordinary Coach.
“You’ll see another Juve.”
When asked to explain the turnaround in his career, Cassano said: “I was considered a terrorist and now everybody loves me.
“Since I’ve been playing football the people have always been close to me. Those who were against me were some coaches, some journalists, some pundits who have now got on the bandwagon, but this doesn’t bother me.
“My biggest regret is that in football I have given 50-60 per cent and for this reason I have lost six or seven years of my life. But now I am happy. I am going through a wonderful moment.
“I certainly couldn’t do anymore, but as they say in Bari, it’s better to be wounded than dead.”
