Cassano will be 29 no?...
Yup, at the beginning of next season he will be 29 (Turns 29 next July).

I see people taking sides here (not talking about you Salvo). Some think we should sign him no matter his age, some think he will be old to be signed as the main star.

Cassano is a very unpredictable man and player so I can't take any of the two sides because I can easily take the wrong side and it's impossible to predict who's gonna be right, who's gonna be wrong.

On one side, it's probably correct to predict that we won't get more than 3-4 years quality service from Cassano. Then again, we might not even get 1 quality year because Cassano is a specific player who needs a specific atmosphere to succeed. As he grows older, as it is natural, he will lose some of his abilities too and thus become a weaker player.

On the other side we know that he is a man who never relied on his speed. Also, 3-4 years of quality service is more than enough. That's what Real got of Zidane (29 when they bought him), that's what we got of Thuram (29 when we bought him) and there are really too many examples. Hell, sometimes even 1 quality season is enough (Milito in Inter, bought when he was 29). Even if he won't play as well anymore, that season was more than enough for Inter. Ideally people would like someone with the potential to grow into a Juve legend and spend 10 years here, but we should be happy with a player who'll give us top class service for 2,3 or 4 years, enough to put us back on the CL map. Will Cassano be that man I can't predict, but he does have the potential. If I could know that he will give Juve 3 great years and then retire (Which I could never know), I will be all for signing him and paying +20m eur for him.

I believe he's mature now. He acts different...he wants kids too. Prandelli also said that he's a different person and I also think that.

29 or not I'd always welcome that guy. I believe he'll rock at least 4 more years at a high level.

You can see now, when he gets frustrated he just screws his face up, takes a breath and gets on with the game.
The guy always said he wished he had a move to Juventus because it could improve his attitude no?

The good thing about Cassano and the major reason why I think he would be great even at 29 is that he doesn't really base his game off of speed.

I don't really remember but I'm 90% sure he'd be great here. He wouldn't cause any problems and I, for one, wouldn't mind giving him number 10 at all. IMO that would boost him a lot and make him feel welcome.

That player would do a lot in this Juve and it's what we need. Him next to Amauri would be great, I'm pretty sure we'd see many, many goals. Cassano would have a lot of assists and plus we'd have Krasic to run and secure crosses. Those three would be great I think.

I think everyone would love Del Neri and Marotta if Cassano comes either in January or the summer. He would take our game to another dimension.
