we have Melo, Buffon/Storari, Chiellini, Matri, krasic, as players who are definite starters in any team we could put out with this squad. thats 5 positions which are secure...even for the starting XI we need LB, RB, LW, Regista, big question mark over the SS (DP even older, quags potential uncertain after injury), CB also, as Bonucci's development remains in the larval stage. So 6 positions to make stronger, yet...we apparently may sell a player from a position we are fine with already, not just that, but also, our best player of the season.

This is WHY its so important that we bring in a manager who has total control over tactics, training and transfers. Perhaps marotta is thinking...'melo was great this season, he has high value, lets sell him while his stock is high'...whereas a DD, or a VG, or a ferguson, or mourinho, would be thinking 'melo has proven why we signed him for such a high price, he has come good, is settled here now, and i can rely upon him...thats one position in the team i need not worry about...hey beppe, come here...i dont give a fuk about the sale value of our best players, they are staying...now go find me two fullbacks, start proceedings to bring back giovinco, and organize the hunt for a speedy, skillfull left winger...move along then! chop cop, baldy!'.

this bullshit disconnection between manager and transfer manager is playing a huge part in our downfall.

wow being fired at 02:00 sucks :D

but didn't marotta said that we are def. going to sign matri?
so how would a 4-3-3 with benz and matri work? i doubt that we sign either of them for sitting on the bench? and both in a 4-4-2? mah don't like it.....
so up until now it is all speculation and we know nothing....

why are you guys even fighting about rumours? some may be true some aren't who cares?

@badass when you dislike his posts just don't read them or if you know better post your news.
we should make a challange out of it :D

but all of you will find if hard to get even 1 signing right at the moment.....

The rumor started a few hours ago. English pundits can't make up their mind.
Some say FA has called a pressconferance tomorrow 11PM, some say the whole story if a hoax.

I guess we have to wait and find out tomorrow.

I would take Capello back in a heartbeat.

If we sell Melo we're definitely not going to get 20M for him, we don't know how to negotiate deals and end up selling him for 12-15M.

Having Capello would explain why we're going after Fernando. It would mean sticking with 4-4-2, which might be what Marotta wants, and we would probably secure a CL spot with him in charge.

But will Capello win us Serie A? Not with this team, at least. If we acquire Tevez we might stand a chance. But I can't see this guy leading us in the long-run. He is not the guy to create long-term success at the club.

I'd rather have Boas Constrictors or Van Gaal.

I really want us to adapt to a new formation, and try a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1. I want some talented players, and show us exciting football.

It would be a hell of a job by the management if they pull him out of the English NT and bring him here. Very Agnelli-ish.

I agree that he might get us a CL-spot next season, but with the right signings next summer I don't see why he wouldn't bring us the Scudetto.

I am hoping these reports are true :D

Well calcio hasn't changed much since he left in 2006... Atleast Not in a good way... So He could do well with us in Serie a but we will get fucked over in Europe again...

Oh wait we won't be playing in europe at all Next Year :)

sounds unusual as to why now, and at a time when england fans seem to have forgiven him all of a sudden after the last couple of friendlies where he introduced several new players, it just doesn't add up
Would make sense if Agnelli's plan was to bring Capello in 2012 after Delneris contract was expired. Now that Delneri is gone this season we won't bring in a coach for just one season and then hand it over to Capello. Maybe it was now or never for Capello to manage us again and he resigned. DAMN I am dreaming :D

It's all over twitter.
