Can Van Gaal speak Italian? One thing in football that has always made me wonder is how players communicate. For example, when Krasic first arrived he didn't know Italian did he? So how did he communicate with the others? Does he agent know how?

I learned Italian in 3 months at University, it isn't hard. Krasic arrived in August I think, so by October/November he probably was fine.

I know he's learned how to now, but does anyone know if Van Gaal can speak Italian? Or is he going to do something like this for a few months:

I don't think van Gaal can speak Italian, but be sure he will learn it quickly. He will force everyone in the squad to learn/speak Italian, that's also what he did at Bayern. People made jokes about his bad Spanish during his Barca time, his Italian won't be fluent but at least he tries. :p

I mean, look at Zac in Japan. Do you really think that he bothered learning Japanese? Of course not, he obviously has a translater :lol:
