Rumor has bounced from Germany, Juventus have now in the hands of Andrea Beck (24), right-back and captain dell'Hoffenheim. This afternoon - the authoritative site includes market 4-4-2.com - the Juventus have reached an agreement for the transfer of the defender in Turin. German club's coffers should be 9 million €. Beck is expected to sign a contract that will bind to Juventus until 2016.
Obviously we always over pay for our players, however the 9M for Beck is much more justified than Martinez's 12M.
TBH too I've only seen him a handful of times, and those handful of times he seem to be solid in the backline. Those glimpses and the praise I hear of him gives me high hopes for him.
I think beck would be a good addition. His work rate is high, He is a faster, strong runner, confident player all around and can shoot the ball. Hes in a totally different class bracket then Motta and Sorensen even though I like Sorensen. Hes actually quite experienced for such a young player. If he do acquire him I think our right flank would be very solid so hopefully we can sure up the left side with Bastos and a LB (maybe Drenthe) otherwise we are a one wing team again. Also Id sign Beck over Van Der Wiel for the fact Beck does not make stupid mistakes due to fatigue or inexperience. Van Der Wiel is not very strong mentally in the last quarter of the game.
Agreed Lass is a beast. Something Momo hasnt been since his first year at Juve. Pirlo id take for a lesser wage and Montolivo is more overrated then any player I know. I dont even think he deserves his starting spot for Italy. He's only starting because Prandelli brought him up.
I really hope Beck is actually a solid player for the long term. I'm sick of buying defenders every mercato and getting no where. I thought Motta might have been promising before we got hold of him.. how wrong I was.

I really hope the transition from the Bundesliga to Serie A doesn't affect him all that much.
And, I was thinking the same thing just a couple of hours ago. I thought Motta would have been decent in the right-back position, and now I think I'd prefer a branch on the right flank, there's a higher chance of the opposition losing the ball.
