Rolando looks good and he'd make a good pair next to Chiellini. He seemed good with his feet but I didn't watch them a lot so I can't judge yet. Whenever I watched Porto their defense did very good (in the last match against Spartak for example). As for Fucile, dunno, he seems like a player that's decent but nothing special about him. Maybe I didn't watch him enough but he looked kinda static. Their prices? I don't think Ronaldo's price would hit more than 13mln

I'd prefer Pereira personally for the left side. I rate him higher than Fucile.

Ziegler, Lichtsteiner, Behrami and De Silvestri are the fullbacks that I rate bottom deep. IMO they are just a waste of space.

I think we're planning to sell Chiellini or Bonucci. It's what I think... I somehow doubt (and HOPE) that we aren't getting Mazzari and changing to 3-5-2 (which again sounds realistic if we're getting Bastos and since our fullbacks are terrible - it would be easy to implement that system).

I wouldn't mind getting Rolando if he is really good. Bonucci has been slacking and another CB might make him work harder and put some competition for the place. And having another CB would help especially when either Bonucci or Chielini gets injured. Wouldn't want to see Barzagli starting instead. However we should only go for him if we are getting a RB and LB. We need to build the team from the back first. And anyone got any idea's on Fernando ? I have been reading about Milan's interest in the past but today i saw his name linked with us.

There is no need to buy Rolando whatsoever if we not planning to sell Bonucci/Chiellini. We'd be spending too much on that position when it's not even needed. We have Bonucci, Chiellini and Barzagli. Those three would be enough for next season and we even have Sorensen who should be playing there. That move would make sense in two cases:

1) Our squad not having problems with other positions - which is false since we have black holes all over the pitch
2) Us playing a formation with 3 defenders

Anything other than that makes no sense. Why waste 15mln on a defender when you need a left back, right back, one CM/DM, left winger and a SS. Not only that, but when you need to buy current players on loan aka Pepe, Aquilani, Matri/Quag. So, IMO that's a weird rumor. Bonucci has been decent but didn't fulfill his potential so far, I would oppose his move at all as I don't think he's doing well with Chiellini next to him.

As for Fernando, he would be great. Getting him instead of Sissoko would be top notch.

Agreed. But we shouldn't sign any sub-worth of player since we need only starters now. I mean, Fucile would be an upgrade by all means, but at this point that along doesn't mean much when we compare him with Grygera and co.
