Giuseppe Rossi is a second or third generation Italian, correct? That means he is still very close to the Italian culture, so I don't judge him. In my opinion its up for him to decide.
Yeah, all that great Italian culture at the Jersey Shore. Uh huh, right.
But it doesn't matter what we have to say. Rossi says he feels American anywhere but on a pitch. He claimed it himself. He feels American on the street, at a barbers shoppe, at a pizzeria, scarfing down his mama's stromboli, playing XBox, watching Yankees vs. Dodgers, whatever. That's the way he feels.
So Rossi actually isn't Italian at all. He rejects Italian culture. He only morphs into an Italian when he plays the sport of football because he grew up with Serie A. Yet here's the Azzurri fanboy base, claiming he's an Italian and others like Motta aren't, when the fact is Giuseppe is exactly the same as him.
To whoever said that Rossi should play for the team that helped him become who he was...keep in mind he played more soccer in italy then in the u.s and it shows in how he plays.
That's not even true. He was only in Italy for four years with the Parma youth squad, then he went back on loan to Parma for a year. He played the sport in the US until he was 13.
Hell, if you want to make the argument that Rossi learned the most about the sport in Italy and hence why he should play for the Azzurri, I say that's fucking cock and balls. He probably learned more about the professional game at United, so he should play for England.
