btw, have any good freebies signed with new clubs yet? Was Mexès confirmed? Usually we know more at this point. I guess some are still in the EL or CL.

Aguero is a spanish citizen. He is better than Sanchez. If we want someone that is truly ready to perform on Del Piero's level - that is our guy. I don't know what happened to Tiago - it seems they are doing us a favour by keeping him, but if we can squeeze some cash out of the whole situation it's not unthinkable to go for el Kun.
Atletico are never going to win something in Spain. They have the same chance of winning CL. The only problem here are Chelseas and their oil money, but if we show a player that he is an important signing and he won't be the only one... Mayber we still have enough to get him.

I like Pastore, Sanchez and even more Jovetic ... but 30 mils = Aguero and a different kind of player. The best one we could have.

PS: Now that I think of it - our owners are the only one with an unique position to bribe young men - Ferrari. There are literally a dozen ways to help an young customer get into the "list" and have his car. That doesn't even need to be paid by the club and a single car of those is in the 300k range... A sponsorship every player would be dreaming of.
Not to mention after everything we did for Ferrari...

I can't understand people who don't want Bastos here.

    Weird.

I can only assume it has to do with price?
The price is of course important, but he just isn't that great of a player. As someone has said, he isn't something special. I'd certainly take him as a backup though as he's clearly better than Pepe.

It has to do with options. Why are we always going for the average one?

Hazard and Dzsudzsák are two good examples for don't want him here. The last one should also be available for the same price as him. Menez and Elia are another two examples...
Exactly. Plus all these guys are younger than Bastos.

But we all know the reason why Bastos is preferred. He is basically a "wing-back", and that's who these clowns want for their stupid 4-4-2 formation. They want a defensively-oriented player for the left-wing role, because they're clowns.
