Valencia's Miguel On Juventus Radar - Report

Spanish publication La Verdad reports that fallen Italian powerhouse Juventus are closely monitoring the situation of experienced defender Miguel, currently under contract with La Liga side Valencia.

La Vecchia Signora are desperate to add a new full-back to their squad at the end of the season and sporting director Giuseppe Marotta considers the 31-year-old Miguel to be a useful addition to the Juventus squad.

Miguel started his professional career with Estrela Amadora and also wore the jersey of Benfica before joining Valencia in the summer of 2005. The former Portugal international quickly developed into a key player and has made over 150 league appearances at Los Che.

However, the right-back is no longer an undisputed first-team player at Valencia and could therefore be on the move in the summer transfer window.

Miguel's current contract with the Spanish outfit runs until the summer of 2012 and Valencia are expected to be ready to cash in on the defender at the end of the season.

Because they lack options in wide areas.

Sure, Valencia and Nani are good, but the only have park as anything resembling decent back-up
Then they bring in a decent backup for them. Not one worth 15-20 mill.
I am not buying this story. Manutd will go for the cheaper and younger. Don't forget: the better option

Bastos is :donedeal: with us.

Why would Manutd bring him when they have Nani and Valencia? Doesn't make sense.
Well I can clearly see that you've been snowed in our team. There is nothing wrong in having more than one good player in every position, good teams usually do that.

Any decent rumours floating about? Have a feeling that I'll wake upto the news that Del Neri has been given a 10 year contract (6 million per season) for his extraordinary tactical know-how displayed today with his commanding 2-1 win over the mighty Brescia. But in order to pay his wages we've had to enter into a stadium sharing agreement with Torino and Juve Stabia.
