Juventus made it clear they still want to sign players this summer, so will they be Giampaolo Pazzini, Karim Benzema, Salvatore Bocchetti or Royston Drenthe?
This weekend Milos Krasic put pen to paper and Alberto Aquilani agreed his loan move from Liverpool, but director general Beppe Marotta confirmed “our transfer session is not yet over.”
The newspapers in Italy this morning have listed a series of potential names for the wish-list, as the Bianconeri are seeking a striker and a defender.
Up front the usual names keep coming round again, as Pazzini’s future apparently hangs on whether Sampdoria qualify for the Champions League.
However, having played in the play-off against Werder Bremen, he would be cup-tied.
Other alternatives according to Tuttosport are Manchester City hitman Emmanuel Adebayor and the more likely Real Madrid benchwarmer Benzema.
The Corriere dello Sport is focusing more on the search for a defender, tipping another Real Madrid extra in the form of Dutchman Drenthe.
The favourite would’ve been Benoit Tremoulinas, but this week Bordeaux declared he was not for sale.
Genoa’s Italian international Bocchetti had been in negotiations with Milan, so would be available should Juve come calling.
A cheaper alternative is Atalanta’s 30-year-old Thomas Manfredini, who has already worked with Coach Gigi Del Neri.
