no one is comparing anything. all am saying is For the performances he puts in when he's healthy he is well worth it kinda like robben when he is healthy he becomes the best LM in the world, even better then messi .

I doubt it.

He can play there, but I doubt it Del Neri would. And even though we tried in our national team, he definitely isn't a winger, and that was in a 4-2-3-1, not a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1. He would drift to the middle all the time.

Playing him as a CM would seem the only option, considering the formation.

VDV and Diego linking up would mean some serious badass play though.

Del Neri would probably feel we'd miss some muscle in the middle of the pitch.

VDV would be great next to Marchisio. But Del Neri would probably think of him as a second striker, so it's useless.
