I hate that word. especially with liverpool players *cough* lucas is garbage lol. he is about 22 right? so thats promising for his "potential"
Lucas was Rafa's bastard child. He sole Alonso just so Lucas could play cuz he knew Aquilani was never going to be available for the first half of the season.

You must ask Aaron then.. Yes, i thought he is good too.. When i watch Pool play, i like how he going forward and his crossing ability. But some people say he is too slow for a fullback, but i actually not sure about this

the number one job of a defender is to defend!!!

i can't understand people's sudden fascination with and rating of full-backs who can get forward well but can't defend for peanuts.

Why are Liverpool selling Insua and why are they selling him cheap? I thought he was good.
Insua is good going forward, but not very good defensively. I'd assume that Hodgson wanted to provide more stability to the defense by picking up a more defensively sound left back and giving Johnson more freedom to attack up the right.

because Hudgson had a bigger boner for English players than we have for Italians?

but seriously it's probably more to do with the fact that they just re-signed Fabio Aurelio.

Also, isn't Insua Argentine thus making him non-EU?
Hodgson likes to use players from the country he coaches in, but if you look at Fulham he had a balance of domestic and foreign players.

Insua would count as a home grown player for Liverpool. So I'm thinking he just wanted to make his mark on the squad and felt the need for more defensive players on the flank.

He's not good, but he has potential.
At this level, everyone has potential.

Lucas isn't garbage. He's consistent. Why people insist a player set in a holding role should score 20 goals a season is beyond me.

He's just another brainless player i don't rate him at all.
I'd hardly say that Lucas is brainless. He doesn't make many mistakes.

Lucas was Rafa's bastard child. He sole Alonso just so Lucas could play cuz he knew Aquilani was never going to be available for the first half of the season.
He knew he had Lucas that could try to emulate the Xabi role. However, no player is Xabi Alonso. Rafa still hasn't realized that. Had he switched to a 2 man center midfield I think people would see a lot better from Lucas.

The fact that he's been wearing our captain's armband in pre-season matches and in the Europa league ahead of players like Agger and Skrtel says something. Hodgson came in wanting to sell Lucas and now he's looking for the Brazilian to be a fixture in any success we have this season.

Insua isn't slow going forward. He just has poor positioning when he defends against the counter, often leaving him out in the open. It's something young full backs have to get used to and adjust otherwise they end up like Grosso.

Oh and I don't think Insua is going anywhere at the moment. Fiore couldn't pay his wages so he's back training.

I am just thinking if Poulsen leaves, we will have only Melo, Sissoko and Marchisio for 2 middle posts in Del Neri' 4-4-2 line up and it is too risky due to Sissoko and marchisio injury backgroud.. Especially Sissoko!

Maybe they counting on Ekdal this season... I am not sure about this! I think most Juve type midfielder and best choice is Bastian Schweinsteiger for this post!

For me Krasic, Bonucci, Schweinsteiger, Cristico and Kolarov was the best transfer package of the summer... This is my wish list actualy!

why Criscito AND Kolarov?

People shouldn't keep mentioning Schweinsteiger, he won't go to juve, if dzeko is unrealistic he's in another planet.
