I'd be really curious to see this in pre-season or in the beginning rounds of Europa League. As an aside, doesn't Inter field a similar formation with Snejder in that role?

You make it sound like he's Giovinco. You won't have to worry about Essien for at least another season. Maybe Diego can really make this position his own this year? It's worth a try since he's played there before, and besides, if he's willing to "spit blood" for Juve I'm sure he'll give it his all.

Would really be a smart pick-up, especially when considering the price. The fact that you can get someone this versatile for a few dollars more than Pepe is reason alone to grab Rakitic. I think they should've picked him up two seasons ago when they were originally linked with him.
