Well if we manage to bring him everything will depend on our future acting , we already bought several great players which prices had dramatically felt below the previous ones so it will all depend on our ambitions , coach and board acting.
But considering the desperate need for more improvements in the team, would spending this ammount for 1 player be not too much. If he would be our only transfer target I would welcome him for sure.

Otherwise; could this be looking like the summer of 2001?

30 mil and some 50 left right (if the whole story about our plans is true). So 50 mil for several other players especially defenders. But I do agree that 30 mil is too much for an unproven player.

I would like that deal, Di maria is a left footed dangerous winger.. a player we would have much use of..

much money but if we have 80 million euro we could use some of the money on a top winger.. I would like us to return to play with wingers..
we have to bad leftback/rightbacks to play without offensive wingers...

Give me Krasic/Di Maria/Hazard I would be happy.

The question is who would play they other side..

Buffon

Caceres Zapata/Kjaer Chiellini Criscito

Sissoko/Melo Marchisio

Di Maria Diego Giovinco/Kuyt/Vargas/Hazard/Krasic

Dzeko/Gilardino/Pazzini

:Benitez (I hope) would be a realistic lineup if we get him as a coach, this is they players I could think he would go after :)

If the 80 million euros deal is true we would afford this, we will get some money from sales also so

But I don't think it is possible. If we have 50 mio left that will give us Kjaer (20mio?), Criscito (10/15mio?), Caceres would cost 16 mio I believe...
If this is too behappening, we have no more money left, and the winger and striker we need would cost big time! How much do you think we can receive from transfers? Not enough I think to buy 1 of them...

Kjaer: Zamparini said 12 million for him ( if i remember right) and we would also give them players.. we own half of Criscito alreday mate, plus we could give them Palladino or De Ceglie maby in the deal.. so it would not be near the price you said.. Caceres we could get him for 7-10 i think if not fuck barca..

it depends on who we would sell

Trez 5,Tiago 5,Almiron 3, Palladino 3,De Ceglie 3,5, Amauri 9

28,5 total..

getting di maria means gio is leaving. gio probably doesn't want to spend another year as a squad player. 37 mil for a talent in whose playing position we have a maybe even bigger talent is madness.

if we have 80 mil to spend this summer it is madness to spend 37 mil on a 22 years old player. he may some day be the best winger in the world, but right now it is just crazy.

anyway, IF that is true our hole board are amateurs. having a talent like gio and spending in other talents. i think that with gio and someone like rodrigez our left side would be ok...

First, sorry for my terrible English, but i want to express what i think. I think if we would play 4-2-3-1 and the 3 am in that formation is Gio - Diego - Hazard, then that formation is some thing wrong. Not that i don't rate Hazard, not that i don't believe in Giovinco, but if we would play those three, then i fear our current squad isn't ready for that yet. I think we can play those three in somewhat passing play, familiar with the styte of barca playing right now, but our current squad isn't ready for that yet, we have strong player, but not that all good passing player, even we add Marcherano in it.... Then i feel much more secure when we had someone like Vargas or Kuyt on one wing, and have Gio or Hazard on another. If we plan to sign someone like Hazard, i think it's fair to let Gio go, he can't be on the bench forever, or if we sign Kuyt, we can use Gio and see what's next the next summer....

Again, sorry for my terrible English....
