I was going to say the same thing. That midfield is too similar to the one we have had this season, with several destroyers galore to once again thwart any chance we have at having solid possession.

Please, no more damn defensive midfielders. We have seen this season that destroyers don't always protect the defense, so there's no reason to have three of them on the pitch at the same time.

We have to learn from our mistakes this season and progress forward.
Andy, I think that our so called destroyers didn't have proper defense to protect.
Although I agree with you that the conception we used and played is totally inadequate.

Let me ask you this. If you're an alcoholic, is the best method to cure your addiction to drink more alcohol?

Because that's the problem we got at Juventus. We have at times fielded three DM's this year in trying to protect our defense, yet they have been unsuccessful at their own job. And even if they were successful the defense would still be tested because with these players we tend to sit back deep trying to soak up pressure, so we're just asking for our defense to be tested.

The answer isn't more DM's. What needs to be done is get better defenders and ball playing midfielders who can lead us forward and keep the play further away from our goal. This whole sitting back concept is outdated and only works when the defense you have is quite strong.

Exactly ,so let's keep max 3 of them (I'd keep Sissoko,Marchisio and Melo,I know you'd keep Poulsen instead of Sissoko but that's another story) and invest money in our defense.
In my opinion that should be it.

Well be ready to spend because with or without gourcuff we are going to need a lot of money to fix this.
Don't forget the defense (2 CBs needed, all of our fullbacks suck so we need 4 new if we're serious), Camo's replacement, and it seems 2 strikers, and all of them should be excellent.
That's 9 players and our bargaining chips are clowns like Tiago ,Molinaro and Zebina.
Don't get me wrong , Hus, I know you like Gourcouff but I think he's expensive considering our current situation.

I don't like that midfield.

I think that would end up suffering a great many of the problems suffered this season.

Put in a good ball player instaed of one of the centre mids, and it might work.

I, however, will be disappointed if Juve aren't playing with at least one winger next season.
Kwadwo is good with the ball and it would be much better than this because we'd have 3 times better fullbacks.

And I couldn't think of any other player that can be great and not hyped up so far.

I do see the point when it comes to wingers. They would be great, depends who we have for our fullbacks.

:dazed:

I need to see some numbers right now, Dusan. Good luck bringing all of them if we don't get CL.
There's no Buffon because of that CL.
