As has been said before, he is excellent at going forward and very poor at defending.

Anyway, I would not be in favour of Juve going for British players, as a general rule.

He's not poor defensively, he aint a Maldini if that's what you're looking for but he can mark and win the ball and best of all HE CAN PASS!!

I'll take him over Crisito anytime.

He has been great this season for Spurs, playing every game when Essou Ekotto got injured and now the bloody Cameroon can't get a place in the team

But there's no way Spurs are gonna let go of Bale, at least not this year that is.
Thats not true, Bale has been playing as a left winger for quite some time now. He's ok as a winger, he's got a good cross on him and he's pretty fast. But as a fullback he is a no no, he really is an extremely poor defender.

Boh! How can people say that Bale is even half a defender? I remember watching the game against Blackburn with you where Bale was destorying Salgado the entire time all in the opposition half. Then when Emertson or whatever ran against him everysingle time he fell flat on his face. Meh.

Ya saw that game, poor Salgado was run ragged in that game, only to completely hold his own against Chelsea the next week.
