Do you you want to bet on that? Only player I think is less unlikely to leave then Diego is Ale and Giorgio (ok, Marchisio too). Its very silly to think we will sell him.
Why would I bet over the internet Os? I never said it was certain just what rumour has it. I do think we'll make a move for Gourcuff this summer though.

Could they not co-exist?

If we can get Gourcuff then I would let Diego go, Diego apparantly wanted to sign for Bayern last summer to stay in Germany but his father told him to come to us. The guys at VS think a Diego>Robben swap could be on the cards however this is all rumours. I would like Diego to stay but I feel he won't.
According to his statements during his time here I doubt he wants to leave.
But on the other hand our current position and ambitions are far from what he expected after he joined us. So I wouldn't blame any of our players if they decide to leave.
Let's wait and see. My hopes are 4th place, getting new coach and adding new players without losing the key ones (including Diego).

I mean forum bet you fool, hehe, usually avatar related from my experience ;)

And you sounded like you are semi-certain, as in you feel he will leave, seems out of the blue, I havent noticed a single rumour or murmur of us selling Diego, have you?

And it cant be 4-3-3 with such centralised AMs (neither can be fake wingers, both pure centralised AMs/trequartisti), and with 4-3-2-1, I would bet they would get in eachothers way. Too similar in the space they occupy.

I did not mean to come across like that. Os if you could have one who would it be? I think Diego is one of our true assets that could potentially get us another fantastic player in return. If the rumours of Gourcuff come to fruition then I see Diego surpluss to requirements. I would seriously conteplate offering Diego to Bayern in return for Robben.

Giovinco-Gourcuff-Robben

That is pure fantasy but I can dream :p

Silence.

Gourcuff it is.

@nick: yes, they can co-exist.
gory cuffs is going to be a massive player, but he would add nothing to this team that we don't have, and he would cost way too much for a player we can't really use.

either spend the money on a winger (silva), or a box to box midfielder ( i am sick would be nice) that should be the only midfield purchase

of course, cur! getting fullbacks and a center back is top priority, but the midfield needs fixing as it is unbalanced.

actually i'd say if we know who the coach is, the midfield should be fixed first, since it's really one player that we need there (again either a winger or a box to box mid) and once that's out of the way focus on getting quality defenders
