Cassano? First of all, defenders! And second, that should mean 4-3-1-2 for ever and ever. And if we're going to play 4-3-1-2, get us Dani Alves and Evra, if not, don't.

Jasp I just looked at that video of Di Maria. The first time I saw this player was at the u20 world cup here in Vancouver and I was in awww. This kid is a major talent and would really be amazing along side Gio running up the wings. I still like Aguero as well though for Juve I still feel hes compliment Diego very well.

Bring us Kolarov and Di Maria, then start counting trophies.
Di Maria is amazing but he'd drain 50% of our budget IF we'd have those rumored 80mln. We cannot and should not pay that much. There are many great players for less but we'd cover other positions as well. And not to mention it's going to be hard to compete with City. They would just give him the paper so he'd write down his wages on his own.

:agree:

In my opionion he is the one we can sign with the greatest potential. I think he is likely to be a Ballon d'or winner. He wont come cheap, but you'll get the shit.

Haven't seen Hazard play, so can't say what the fuzz is about - but what I (also) like about Di Maria, is that he is a bit bigger than Hazard and could thus go in a more physical game in Italy and pose a threat from headers. (I might out on a limb here, but still....)

I was under the impression Jasp was making a choice between Hazard or Cassano when he dropped the former from your formation. Cassano on the wings is sort of weird, just doesn't seem suited a whole deal.
Really?

He'd not play as a classic winger who runs up front and goes with crosses. He'd cut in more often and provide extra creativity from the left side. He played on the side before and he did good IMO.

If not then it can be 4-3-2-1, maybe even better for us but I'm afraid we can't play without wingers. Still that deal looks more possible than Hazard.

But Cassano is risky...if I knew he'd be normal and run from Belgrade to Italy to sign him. But this way...

We have been going for quantity rather than quality for the past 3 seasons or so. I say we fuckin make a change.

He would do well, but then Diego would be taken out of games. I don't think two players like this would work well in 4-2-3-1, in 4-3-2-1 you're right it would be good. Players like Hazard/Giovinco/Di María/Camoranesi who would run up and down the wings providing the wide support are the ones I look for.

Man, we did that because we had 70% of our players labeled AVERAGE across their face and we still have many.

Why would we spend 35mln+ on him and at least 4mln for his wages? There are many good players out there for much less. If our scouts aren't retarded then they know if Rodriguez has potential to be a top player. So why not go after him?
We'd spend like 6mln but we could buy 3 new defenders. Or if we want the other side, why not Hazard for let's say 15? That kid is crazy and he can be our Ronaldo.

If we get Di Maria imagine we have 20mln to spend. We buy one defender and one sub and yet again we're stuck with either Grygera or Grosso and we'll have Legro. Woopty fucking doo. There is barely an improvement.
