with the right coach, that is a brilliant team, at least a Scudetto winning one.

Yes with the exception of the two fullbacks, that is actually a really good team. Especially the midfield, which on paper is one of the strongest in Europe.

The players dont complement eachother. And too much of the same
then it's the Coach's job to make sure they do.

Exactly.

Only problem(which is a big problem actually) with that formation is that it cannot work without good attacking fullbacks that provide width. But we all know that width has not been the only problem with this Juve team this season, the lack of a decent coach has a lot to do with this.

I don't know i feel that Marchisio under the right setup is rather good when going forward, he's got a really good cross on him, his shooting ability is decent enough and he has demonstrated the ability to score goals.

There isn't any real gameplan and nobody seems to know what to do or what his role is, makes you wonder what the heck they do in training.

I have always mantained that Marchi is good enough to be the complete MF dynamo that we need, we just need a fuckin' Coach who realises that...the guy has quick feet, aggressive tackler and has an eye for a pass (the assist to Trez vs. Bayern immediately comes to mind)...our CMF should be built around him

I think he's quality myself.

As for the assist for Trez ya, that was a quality cross by him. He has got that ability to get the right mix of swerve, accuracy and pace on his crosses, i've seen him do it several times.

I think he is absolute quality, under the right setup he could be a top midfielder.

Lion, it's depends of our formation. If we a going to play 3 in the middle - this trio is a must.
If 2 - you're right, no to regista, and yes to winger.

But fullbacks are priority anyway.

I'm not a fan of three in the midfield. The only time i would really like it is if 2 of those midfielders are box to box players.

and yea, you wouldn't need a regista with 2 in the center. And i am a beleiver that a formation with wingers would suit us.

Well what i meant is withdont complement eachother is taht none of the midfielders or attackers can express themselves in the current composition. Too much is asked of Melo and Sissoko and too little of Marchisio. The former two should only play to cover, while Marchisio should get more freedom going forward. Sissoko and Melo are trying to create play, which only results in loss of possesion. Coaches do try this as Marchisio slightly on the outside of centre midfield allows him more freedom. I never thought Marchisio on the wings is THAT bad an idea even, he really has quite some dribbling and longball skills. Usually though Marchisio is busy having to cover for mistakes of others. So in the end Marchisio is the one covering, while Sissoko and Melo do the ballplaying. On paper these guys look amazing, but they dont work together. They get way too exposed on what they CANT do. Also a reason why Marchisio is looking so good, he is able to do most things.

And yes the big problems is the lack of width. I still say with guys like Diego and Giovinco on the flanks, close to our midfielders we'd go a long way to fixing a lot of our problems.

That and a regista would still help.

Imagine someone like Pirlo instead of Melo. Sure less harrying, but Marchisio makes a lot of metres and Sissoko is there for the gaps and he wouldn't have try to create play anymore. Sissoko for me has just been as annyoing as Melo this season. Marchisio would also have someone in midfield who could play the ball. Same goes for our attackers, especially Diego who has someone to work with. Also, Diego really isn't a playmaker. He is an attacker.

So we really need to reassign some roles and get a few new parts to get it working.

Spend the cash on Hamsik! He's an amazing player and we'll be buying 4 out of the usual goals he scores against us every season.
