I've never really seen Gourcuff play, what is he like?

He's a playmaker. One that plays directly behind the frontmen. He isn't a hard worker like Diego, so you shouldn't expect him to track back and defend, and you shouldn't expect him to adapt to a deeper role in midfield. He is a very good dribbler and he has good close ball control. He is also capable of scoring goals, he's got a decent record for a midfielder. He's capable of scoring long range shots as well.

All in all, he is currently the best player in the Ligue these past couple of years. Easily i would say.

Is he better than Diego in your opinion? If so I would tempt Bayern with a Diego plus cash swap for Ribery.

no that's us now. We're the new old-inter.

so we can look forward to finishing 3rd and winning the championship, buying some of the worlds best players and turning them to shit, bringing a scooter into our stadium, setting it on fire and throwing over the edge, and having one of the worlds ugliest man as our president

Gourcuff would be sick.

Buffon

Caceres(Zebina)-Kjaer/Bonucci-God(Ariaudo)-X(DC)

Sissoko(Ekdal)-Melo-Marchisio(Marrone)

Diego(Candreva/Daud)-Gourcuff(DP/Gio/Iago)

Dzeko(IQ/Immobile)

4321...sexy with the 3 we have attacking

We might need another midfielder if we sell Tiago/Poulsen.

We buy Kjaer(15m), Bonucci(15m), LB($m?) and Gourcuff(30m), Candreva(7m) = 72m+

We sell Amauri(13m), Legro(3m), Tiago(6m), Molinaro(4m), Poulsen(6m), Grosso($1.34 and a can of Pepsi) = $32,000,001.34 minus a can of Pepsi.

72m-32,000,001.34=39999998.66million total spent minus the can of Pepsi.

Trez and Camo can leave and that will free us some wages. Diego and Gourcuff together would be fun to watch and knowing they have a powerful finisher like Dzeko to help them...incredible if you ask me.

Juventus is one of the few Italian clubs which have been Italian through and through. The Old Lady has always boasted a host of Italians in their starting line-up, but is it time for us to invest in foreigners - at least till our crisis over?

All of Italy's internationals, with the exception of a few, are really not up to the task of competing with players such as Messi, C. Ronaldo or Rooney, Juventus are suffering the most for keeping faith in Italians instead of investing in foreign talent. Now I know that most of our failures have been due to the impotence of our directors (and Grygera, damn I love that guy!), but it seems that Italy isn't breeding any more talented people.

Now if we start investing in youthful South Americans, we are bound to end up with a world class player, like Messi or perhaps Maicon. I myself like that our team is full of Italians, but our players are just not up to the task (yes including Giovinco, Rossi, etc. - at least for now).

While we've been searching for a disappearing breed of Italians, Inter have thrived by purchasing Maicon and Militio.

So tell me what you think: Should Juventus invest more in foreign talents or should we keep searching for Italian "gems"?
