Juve's 80m Euro transfer plans Saturday 13 March, 2010 (Football Italia)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus plan to invest 80m Euros on the transfer market this summer, from Giampaolo Pazzini to Franck Ribery and Philippe Mexes, say reports.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport suggests the Bianconeri are prepared to spend big in order to mount a credible Scudetto challenge next season.

The biggest name on the wish-list is Bayern Munich hero Franck Ribery, who has made it clear he could move on at the end of this term with Real Madrid also interested.

Real Madrid’s Argentine Higuain is another alternative to strengthen the attack.

The plans could be dented if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, which is a possibility as they currently lie in fifth place.

Dropping out of Europe’s premier competition could cost the club around 25m Euros.

Sampdoria striker Pazzini has been linked with Juventus for some time, though it’s reported they face competition from Chelsea.

Tuttosport claim that to raise funds, the Bianconeri could in theory sell Gianluigi Buffon if Manchester United reiterate their 30m Euro offer.

I hope we do intend of spending 80M and that we are going for Ribery and Higuain BUT I also hope we are looking for a a defender too Mexes should be ok but I think Juan is quite good too and don`t forget Kjaer

anybody saying to to Ribery needs taken outside and shot, yes he may be overpriced but what a statement that would send out to clubs that we are serious, the problem is that we need full back AND wingers, simply to drag teams about and free up space for Diego to play in

I may well say no to Ribery, though it would depend on the price.

I'm not sure spending a huge amount on an extremely injury prone player would be a good idea.

30? No. We are going to spend 45-50 again.
Are you absolutely sure? Even with the outing in the CL and Melo's partial budget cut?

With 45-50 we could built a Serie A winner right there and a CL contender.
