Well to be honest about the mercato I'm happy we atleast starting shifting out the dead wood in January, otherwise it would have been too much on Secco's plate like last summer.

He is doing well at Galatasaray, he might even win the league in his first season. They finish 5th last season.
it's not an achievement though, when you consider he has Elano, Kewell, Kader Keita, Arda, Milan Baros, S.Nonda, Leo Franco, Lucas Neill, Jo etc etc in his squad. Also as a Turkish league follower i can say that his team are underperforming and his assistant Neeskens doing much of his work. anyway, he will never leave in middle of season.

Honestly at this point i dont feel we should get any other players. There's no clear vision, what's the point of splashing on loans when they might not even start? As for next season we have to start the "5yr project" all over again.Everything this board has done has been counter productive.:sergio:

I wouldn't say start over again. A good coach will go a long way with 2 really strong signings this summer will help too. Obviously we need more than 2 to compete with Inter considering they will probably make 3 to their already stellar squad.

Like Aush said, its a good think we trimmed a little bit this winter and hopefully they get bought by their loan clubs. We have about 3 players I would definitely like to sell aside from the other 2.

A good coach with a good vision built around the champions we have is close, we just need to find the right coach. Regardless of how much they ask its clear that when you get a good coach you get exactly what you pay for.

I know, what a great set-up.

Absolutely. The problem is finding the right coach, Hiddink is ideal. But is that realistic? How about Blanc of Bordeaux?

A good coach add some value to all players.
Good coach can win with average players (and also develop they into world-stars).
Bad coach can loose with any players and even downgrade some promising and all-wanted talents to just average stuff (e.g. Melo)

Financially, Iceman? how so?
Not financially. Convincing him to leave a club which are still in the CL and top of the league is a difficult thing to do. It would have been different if he had some sort of connection to the club, which he doesn't. In the summer it might be easier but not right now. Guus currently has no 'project' to work on. The only problem we will have with Guus is the financial aspect.
