The one before. But I hear what you're saying. I've only seen Real occasionally in recent seasons, never more than one game in a row and I have never seen anything notable about Gago, and I didn't have high expectations of him. I just like D'Ago's sweet left foot.

Is it really two? Just remember everybody talking about last season...
That's what I seem to remember. But I guess I'm just losing track of time in football. Could never remember what was last season or the season before.

I hear ya M.G, but I have seen Gago in good and bad, and the former rarely gets mentionned, he has had very good displays, and has clear qualities (first time seeing it was him being great un YWC 2005 which Argies win, him and Messi ripping it big). Just that the expectations and Redondo hype of being expected as a teenager to develop to top player over night being quite hard pressure and thing to be judged by, and if you dont show it immediately or cave under the pressure, you are forgotten or dismissed immediately (Marcelo was last season, and this season he has been amazing).

Tends too common in top footie, be just negative then and be cast aside alltogether and the good forgotten quickly (has had real vital displays for Real, he was great in the 2nd season, vital reason why they won the league) due to it. Well its goes too far when D'Agostino having 1 good season in midtable team is considered to be something more then he has done. If Gago played in Udinese he would be considered a star and having the top teams after him (there is a reason Real bought him for nearly 20m), despite his flaws and poor mentality, has the quality enough to outshine anyone in such lower level.

Youtube is just youtube, but here's few moments of his good displays with Real:

3 years ago, he is erratic and lost defensively. But this season, with CR9 out, he has played as winger (and with him back, still plays), and he has been absolutely amazing there.

About Gago, i also saw the good of him when he played under Capello and won the La Liga. He also a good midfielder in YWC.. But today he played so bad, i don't know what affect him.. Do you think he can do Cambiasso? Cambiasso is not so good in RM but he is pure gold when played in youth Argie NT.. Inter signed him free and he turned into an exceptional player.

Football Italia says we want Rafinha in January
Do you think Caceres could make a good partnership with Chiellini
Canna is good overall but he misplace his position sometimes and is very slow sometimes it seems like he has no air left

Other than Zaccardo, who has been a revelation this season, I can't imagine who. Panucci to replace Canna lol?

Speaking of talented creative mids that got away from the city of Rome, why Galloppa anyway when Antonio Candreva is on another tier to him?
