On topic: Dzeko would be a great signing if Amauri (or Trez) leaves the club.

For CBs I'd try for Ranocchia. He is excellent young defender. If we can't get him then Kjaer would be great. And Bocchetti of Genoa is also excellent.

Midfielders I'd say Asamoah (Udinese) if we sold Poulsen.

For a RB my first choice would be Sagna.

Amauri is great but he needs guidance from the coach, and MOST IMPORTANTLY someone to feed him!
See how many times Trezeguet and Iaquinta get chances in each game, they score a ratio of 1 of each 5
Amauri doesn't even get 2, and he always goes back to the midfield to receive the ball, not to forget that he's the only striker of the 4 we have who defends in freekicks and corners (and clears a lot in these)

Nobody compared him to Ibra, they might have a similar style and we all know Ibra is better, but Ibra is an arrogant lazy traitor, the team he always dreamed of playing for changes every 2 years..
Amauri is loyal and since the first day he came he's a bianconero
scoring 14 goals last season is a pretty good number when he was injured half the season

I'm pretty sure he's much better than his recent form (as well as Melo and Diego) but they all need a coach to give them specific roles, do this and don't do that
specially to Melo, don't do backheels in our area please

As for Ibra fans, in 20 Years nobody will remember his name, but DP's name is in history already, because the character of the player is as important as his talents

How many of those really turned out to be great buys/signings?

Salihamidzic, Grygera, Iaquinta, Criscito co-ownership fiasco, Molinaro co-ownership signing, Almiron, Tiago, Andrade, Mellberg, Sissoko, Amauri(22.8m €), Knezevic, Poulsen, Manninger, Cannavaro, Diego, Melo, Caceres, Grosso.

What about the sells/loans/co-ownership of some players who could have been useful?

I think the bad over-weighs the good so apart from Ferrara, others need to go also.
