It's all relative anyway. Marchisio can basically play any role in midfield except for an out and out winger or fantasista. But with Sissoko, Melo and Poulsen in the team I don't think we should be fielding Marchisio as the lone DM. Maybe Melo can take that left central spot in the diamond midfield, but Sissoko shouldn't be used there because he'll be all over the pitch anyway. His best quality is obviously honing in on the opposition and destroying attacks, so he should be in front of the defense. Poulsen would be his backup, of course.

If we play Sissoko on the right then play Giovinco next to him on the left and if we go with Camo on the right then go with Marchisio on the left, it would be perfectly balanced.

Playing marchi box to box is his best role imo. The guy can hassle but still provide a decent pass, run and shot. So giving him a bit of freedom to go forward would give us someone who runs to the box from the midfield( none of our midfielders currently do that).

Ozil, bit like a Camo is for us now, but on the left side, supporting the AM forward, a creative balancing CM/LW (they played with 2 attackers, Gio cant play this role, bit more advanced). While Frings and Baumann did all the dirty work.
