We're paying more in wages in the summer than during the actual season. We have to sell players but it's a problem to do it. I listened to that agent involved in Krasic's deal, Naletelic, and he said that when there is no big interest in a player and the team is the only one interested in that player, then that team will prefer to buy him in the end of August instead of July 1st, so they won't have to pay for 2 months wages.

I fear that even if we sell the dead wood, we won't do it until later August.

interesting, never thought of it that way. my fear is that another team may be willing to secure krasic and pay him for those 2 months to make it official.

Yeah, that works until it DOESN'T, and somebody else steps in to secure the player.
