I think it's the clubs he has been at and the opposition. If he is playing with quality players, getting time on the pitch, and not playing teams like Nuremburg he would probably be much more consistent and could pose as a attacking threat for Juve.
But I am just a Poldi fan, so I just think he needs a good club, like Juve. And Juve need a good left footed winger/forward, like Podolski
