what do u think of van der wiel..is he really that good?

I know your question was for Ken, but I think he is a huge talent and we good be very happy if we sign him. I believe there are better options, someone who has Serie A experience, but he could be one way to go. He is still young and the best RB of Holland at the moment.

Jan Kromkamp was one of the best young dutch fullbacks also...

Hence my suggestion of getting someone with more Serie A experience. Grygera was amazing for Ajax as well.....

However Kromkamp had like 2 years he was actually really good at that moment with AZ. That team did really good. Ajax was not that good the last years, but he always managed to play well. That shows character.
There are pro's and con's...

Indeed, Kromkamp was a class above for a short period and was unlucky with his short stint at Liverpool. Hopefully if Van der Wiel join juve he would have more of a Chivu impact than a Grygera.

Kromkamp was too eager to make money and therefore choose to go to Villarreal. Making a switch from a small club like AZ to playing CL with the Spanish was simply too big for him.
The thing that scares me is that getting a defender from Holland is that it is always a gamble. Maybe if he already had more experience (CL, Caps) it would be less.

I don't think there are that many RBs I'd take over Van der Wiel, looking at the same price range. The Maicons of this world simply cost a lot more. Like you say it's always going to be a gamble and I'm very very eager to see how he holds his own at the WC. For those interested; Netherlands are playing a friendly tomorrow and I think he'll play, as he's going to be our starting RB.
