I'm sorry for back-tracking here, but I would really like to see this in a 3-man midfield with Marchisio and Melo. If you put two true wingers up front like Giovinco on the left and someone on the right (and good fullbacks of course), I think it could work. He's played there for the national team, but they've got quality all around so I don't know if this is realistically transferrable.

actually this crossed my mind today as well. Diego next to 2 ball winners inthe center might work. diego likes to come deep. He is a good passer, just what you need as part of the trident, and he can dribble in and advance with the ball.

Its never going to happen. We're a big team and we can't do signings like these. And don't forget, out of 20 cheap signings for these small clubs one or maybe two players turns into a Kjaer or a Kolarov.
