Angelli 80 Mil, Sale's 70 Mil = 150 Mil
Juventus Channel
Might as well come from Tuttosport, because it is equally as puzzling.
Where will 80m come from?
Here are the facts:
- This season's financial position will end with a negative result.
- No CL next season means a significant loss of revenue.
- Our new sponsorship deal with Betclic is worth less than the New Holland deal courtesy of no CL.
- Our management are obsessed with financial health (as they should, considering UEFA's upcoming rules)
Not to mention we have not invested more than 40m (without sales) in the market since the summer out of serie b, and that was done under special circumstances (capital share increase or something along those lines). As of today, nothing of that sort has been mentioned.
70m from sales? Simply not possible unless we sacrifice players like Buffon, Diego, etc, the loss of whom many of us would not be able to stomach. Not exactly the best way for Andrea Agnelli to endear himself to the fans.
What about our coach? Do you truly believe our board would target a coach like Del Neri if 150m were available? You don't invest that much on players and put them under the leadership of a coach whose greatest achievement in a long time is finishing 4th place.
With all that said, it is possible we are relying on future revenue from the stadium. An extra 20m a year according to Juventus' estimates (assuming we do not have another dissapointing season and people are willing to pay to watch Juventus)
It is also possible we will receive a % of the profit from the stadium sponsor, but I doubt it will be a large number considering sportfive gave us 75m for the right to find our sponsor, so they will be entitled to the largest chunk of this profit.
Maybe Exor are putting money into Juventus like Roman at Chelsea or Moratti at Inter? Having an Agnelli president is a huge burden, and he has a legacy to live up to considering the history of success which came under his predecessor's. I can't help be pessimistic though considering they havent invested any of their own money for years.
The rumour of 80m over 3 years + future revenue from sponsors, new stadium, sales, etc seems more realistic to me.
