We shouldn't get Cassano we have Diego and shouldn't play 4-3-1-2 again ...

We need a winger who can play on both sides (Di Maria/Hazard), striker (Hopefully Dzeko, if all else fails Pazzini) and the rest of the money should be spent on strengthening the defence (Criscito/Centre Back(Kjaer?)/Right Back (Caceres?))

Then our formation could be 4-4-1-1 (4-2-3-1 when attacking)

Dzeko
Diego
Giovinco-Melo-Marchisio-Di Maria/Hazard
Criscito-Chiellini-Kjaer-Caceres
Buffon

Camo (maybe Candreva or Yago) as backup wingers, Poulsen and Sissoko as backup CM/DM:s, Iaquinta/Immobile as backup strikers, Del Piero as a backup for Diego. This is in my opinion the best we can do realistically.

In a few days I want to hear that we've signed Aleksandar Kolarov.

A week after that I want to hear that we've just signed our first winger, Milos Krasic.

And during the rest of the summer, I would love to see a right back, a striker called Edin Dzeko and if its not too much to ask, somebody who can play next to Marchisio.

It wouldn't hurt if Del Neri confirmed to us that he sees Sebastian Giovinco as a starter for the team.

And, last but not least, Del Neri decides to go with the 4-2-3-1.

That would be an awesome summer.

Swap Kolarov with Criscito and you have a realistic looking summer spending.

Anyone heard on Artisde Bance? Good be a decent gamble imho.
Yeah, he used to play in Belgium a few seasons ago.
He had a good season back then, scoring +/- 15 goals if I am not wrong.

Good as a backup, but IMO, not as a starter.

On a different note, since Lille missed out on the CL, Hazard might come available, and he already stated to leave France if he would leave Lille, Lyon is interested in him but it looks like that isn't so the other way around.

I really hope our board considers him.

I agree, hazard is the perfect target for us, also he's not in the world cup so he'll remain out of the media hype, just what we want so we can move swiftly and effectively.

Yeah, wtf we don't need Polombo. If we get Samp talent get Pazzini. I'll be so upset if we start signing mediocrity!
You can count on it
Del Neri didn`t come here because we are ambitious... otherwise we would have got a better manager
look at Inter they have Mourinho and they are being linked with Benitez Capello and Hiddink no Prandellis or Del Neris

I expect us to get 3rd place at best (might be worse) and to not even compete for the scudetto

expected place 3rd-5th its better than this season but still bad

as for mediocricity I expect us to get Pazzini and not Dzeko
possible summer spending: ST:pazzini MF: Candreva+ a decent but not great winger DC: I don`t know but someone who has potential but isn`t ready or a Legro level defender
DL: Criscito might come if he doesn`t we might even stay with De Ceglie and Grosso or maybe even the return of Molinaro
DR: Caceres

out: Trez, Cannavaro

I really hope I`m wrong and some serious changes are going to take place

Anyone saying that a 'too creative' squad can't function just doesn't understands the game.
Look at Arsenal, most of their players have great technique and create a lot as a team, the only thing missing is a real striker to give them extra goals.

Cassano would actually be a great signing, we haven't heard stupid things from him in the media for a long long time now. He's mature enough, sometimes it's good to give such lads another chance. You can't doubt his qualities and he has enough experience. Unfortunately, Del Piero is 35 years old and we cannot rely on him anymore. Cassano would be an ideal replacement.

You have to balance creativity and hard work, thats why Arsenal don't do so well because they lack physical prowess in the midfield.

A 4-4-2 is perfect if you get top quality wingers because when attacking it can convert to 4-2-4.
