On paper, Marchisio and Melo can make a very strong and balanced central midfield in a team with some movement from the fullbacks and attacking players.

If you can have success with Cambiasso and Motta (two good players, of course), you can with those two as well. Heck, United could play Park and Fletcher in the middle and still dominate. You just need a plan and some movement.

I like those reasons, they make sense. Dzeko isn't going to the world cup though, right? We already can't get Villa or Torres and I for one haven't mentioned either other than just wishful thinking. Dzeko though, we can trade in fringe players like you said to lower his value and get a much younger striker.

Damn I must be disslecksic or something :frown: I agree, if they are looking at Dzeko it is a shame to say they are unrealistic. We can't afford that sort of money for a striker at this moment.

Well if no one else is willing to buy him then what choice do they have? It's not like they are going to use him. We may as well try and loan him again. I think its a good idea at least to save us money for other departments. And if they say no, then we go to Plan B.
