City target Amauri and Chiellini
Thursday 21 January, 2010
Manchester City have invited Davide Lippi to sound out Juventus over the futures of Giorgio Chiellini and Amauri, according to Tuttosport.

City have been strongly linked with Chiellini since they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group in August 2008, but Juventus are unlikely to sell one of their prize assets.

The same might not be said for Amauri who has scored just four goals this season, all of which came in the space of 10 days. Before that he had been on a seven-month goal drought.

The 29-year-old earns €3.8m a year, which is a huge sum of money for a player who isn't contributing in goals.

Tuttosport understands Juventus are prepared to try and recoup as much of the €22.8m they paid Palermo for him in May 2008.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is said to be an admirer of Amauri's, because of his physical presence up front, which would work well in the Premier League.

Even though this isn't a true story I would swap Amauri for Tevez in a heartbeat, we would massively benefit from someone who has the workrate and enthusiasm he has.

Why Rossi? He will never have a chance if we expect him to lad the line as a lone striker, he will flop badly. But I wouldn't be suprised if Lippi influenced us into getting him seeing as he has his whole hand in our pie ATM

Wait you're telling me maicon is a defender, I just thought he merely occupies the right hand side of the pitch.
And lucio does have his own fair share of melo-esque brain farts aswell.
Juan is nothing special at all.
And if, maicon aside, these are Brazils best two defenders then I would rather leave Douglas where he is now.
Oh and:
brazilians in Juve :sergio: :sergio: :sergio:
All defenders make their fair share of brain farts, whether brazilian or not.
Garcia is coming, 16 year old Swedish defender has been mentioned before and there are another 10 kids trying out at the club, theres an Argentinian kid Sanchez who our talent scout Moretto thinks he is a phenomenon
Our scouts:sergio:

I will believe it when I actually see them, I will never trust our scouts anymore.
Pastorello (Candreva's agent): "Rossi in Italia solo per Juve, Inter o Milan"
Ugh, why Rossi?:andyandbarcelona:
Can't we find someone with a little more presence up top?

Hey Mark, have you heard about Flavio Briatore?

I read that he might join Juve next year.
I did but wouldn't like it at all.
