Napoli plan Wolfsburg talks over Barzagli deal

Napoli are planning to sound out Wolfsburg for defender Andrea Barzagli.

Doubts over Paolo Cannavaro's contract talks have forced Napoli to move for Barzagli.

The two clubs will meet in a friendly this weekend when Napoli hope to open talks about a loan deal for Barzagli with the option of a permanent signing next June.

Barzagli is inside the final year of his current Wolfsburg deal.

No really. I have been following him a long time, and if he had a bit more luck with the little injuries that kept him out, he would be a bit more known. He can scores a lot, can play many positions and is a team player. Also his crossing in great. I would take him without a doubt!
