Anyone see the similarities between this summers signing and the summer we signed Almiron, Tiago, and Andrade? We were all meant to be really excited about it but there was a serious let down. The 5 signings this summer aside from Storari all remind me of that summer and I'm afraid we might be let down again.
I think we made some good moves and I'm sure we'll make a couple more that are going to be top notch.

So IMO we'll have a good squad BUT I think Del Neri will the biggest disappointment by a mile.

I don't think we'll get our 2 big signings but I think Del Neri will do well in Serie A. Just a hunch though. I think he did well with Atalanta and at Samp. Europa League will be a different story me thinks.

I'd keep him, but I can understand loaning him. The loaning has often backfired, but playing time is what he and other youngsters need. We and even the board think they might regret letting him go completely.
Where's the guarantee Seba will get playing time while on loan?

Why do folks think that loaned players will immediately fit into the team they're loaned to? Managers don't really have an investment in these young loaned players, so all they care about is getting the most out of the player in the short run. If the manager is building the team for the future, then the loaned player might not even play.

No more loans. It's such a stupid concept. Stupid FIGC should get reserve games going like in England.

So far yes.

The difference is that by this time in 2007 the directors said that our mercato is finished, and it was. This time both Marotta and Del Neri said that we're still after at least 3 players (CB, LB and winger) and that we'll buy even more depending on the sales.

He's 23, and after a year of loaning he'll be 24, so he isn't a youngster. And he went out on loan when he was 20. Look at Marchisio. That's what Giovinco should be like.

What he needs isn't experience, but a coach with some faith. I also think Juventus are in the perfect position to give him a proper chance because we're not expecting to dominate the world anytime soon.

It's a succesfull transfer campaign if we can sell those players with high wages but no contribution.

For example Tiago we pay so high for him to be a backup, when we could use Marrone as backup.
