If we would buy D'Agostino, would that mean we remove Melo from the holding role to the bench or to the outside?

Then we also want to field Sissoko, so that means those three would have to be squeezed in midfield.

If we don't have world class attacking fullbacks in that scenario, the game is over.

I like Marchisio as much as anyone, but D'Agostino has much more to add in a midfield full of muscle. Melo is very capable with the ball at his feet, but he is far from a playmaker. That our play needed some structuring and someone to direct the tempo has been evident ever since we left Serie B.

Besides it would cover a lot for the lack of passing range and technique when Diego's absent.

I like Marchisio as much as anyone, but D'Agostino has much more to add in a midfield full of muscle. Melo is very capable with the ball at his feet, but he is far from a playmaker. That our play needed some structuring and someone to direct the tempo has been evident ever since we left Serie B.

Besides it would cover a lot for the lack of passing range and technique when Diego's absent.

I understand this, but my point from a budget basis is that without someone with the ability to drive down the flank in midfield, like a Camo, we are going to need some pretty damn good wingbacks that can handle the flanks by themselves. At least now with Camo on the right of midfield and Grosso on the left, we are a bit more balanced and can hide the weakness on the flanks more. But with three pure central players in midfield, we need massive upgrades to our fullbacks before we think about D'Agostino.

25M Euros was for DAWGo, not Ledesma. I wouldn't mind the latter for around 8M.

I guess we agree then. Fullbacks are neceassary and need improvement, but our midfield and our overall play would improve much with a proper regista. As you pretty much pointed out a regista needs movement(down the flanks) from his teammates to function well.

Fanni could join Juve, says agent

The agent of Rennes and France international right-back Rod Fanni says his client could join Juventus in the future although negotiations will be tough.

Juventus director of sport Alessio Secco was at the Stade de France on Wednesday to take a closer look at Fanni during a World Cup qualifier with Austria.

However, Didier Six, the player's agent, believes a deal won't happen in January and warns that Juventus will face serious competition for his client.

“I am aware of Juventus' interest, and even if the Italian media are speaking about it purely after seeing the presence of Alessio Secco at the France-Austria game, we are not talking about a novelty,” Six told TuttoMercatoWeb.

“However, that said I have not had any direct contact with the Bianconeri. Moreover I think it would be very difficult to underwrite a deal.

“English and Spanish clubs also like the player. If he were to leave I don't think that it could happen in the next transfer session, and, in any case, Rennes are one of the more financially solid teams in the French championship.

“Dealing with them is not a simple piece of business,” Fanni concluded.

D'agostino probably would have been the smarter signing for a 4-3-1-2 than Melo, in fact its not to late if we make room by cleaning out the garbage in midfield

Secco can go stick a rod in his fanni, Bacary Sagna to Juve
