We don't need to alter our midfield. That is the last area of the team we should currently be focusing on since Sissoko, Melo, Marchisio, and Diego are all still in their early 20's; Poulsen and Tiago are nothing more than bystanders or reserves anyway. Camo is the only one we should be concerned about.

However, look at the situation when it comes to our defense and attack. We have Cannavaro (who will probably be retiring come the end of the year; I mean, what more does he have to/need to achieve after the WC is over?), and incompetent fulbacks who need to be replaced. That is at least 3 new players for our defense. (Legro cannot and should not be a starter).

As regards out attack, we have an ailing DP, a selfish, albeit hard-working striker with the first touch of a tadpole, a guy who wants to go back to eating baguettes in his homeland, and a beast who is more concerned about his hair than actually scoring goals. Hence, in this department, we may need at least 1, most probably 2 new players.

@Lion and Kenjam1n: haha, I know I'm onto something. Plus he can run for miles...bulk up roberto carlos style and we got ourselves a gem.

@curr: give him a chance.

It is. He didn't do bad at Madrid at all, I think he was the best scoring striker in Spain for the time he was there. His time at Milan.. well that should just be ignored.

If they were to sell, for a reasonable price, I wouldn't say no.
