Tuttosport but anyway,

our January transfer market player could be Pandev. We could use him for the CL. Inter is also after him but they could stick to Arnautovic and avoid him.

Quite premature to start january transfer speculations really,if zebina doesnt work out maybe that RB position will be sorted out by then.
It could be a good time for Pandev, though. His contract expires this summer, no? We'd pay something funny to get him and he could play in the CL. Still, if they want that they might want to sell Trez in January as well.

:howler: yea right...and pay with what, grass?
If so, we'd probably offer Poulsen and something I guess.

I hope we aren't after fabiano and I hope milan don't sign rafinha....I was hoping to land rafinha or srna.

Our brazilians are better than milans anyways...

I think you misunderstood that Tuttosport article. It's not about signing Pandev in January, it's about signing the pre-contract in January so he could join us for free in June.
Like we did with Marchionni, Mellberg, Brazzo, Zanetti etc.

6 months before his contract expires, he can sign with another club but can't join that club until his contract expires.

It's a long shot by Tuttosport, though. We don't know how will the situation between Lotito and Pandev develop. If Lazio won't sell Pandev in January, and if he's still suspended from the team, then not only that Lazio will lose him for free but also Pandev will be forced to spend a full year without football.
If Lazio sell him in January then they will get some money and Pandev will also get to play in the second part of the season.
But not many clubs, if any at all, will decide to buy Pandev in January when they can get him for free only 5-6 months later, and also, no club will offer him in January the wages that they'll offer him in June, when he'll be completely free.

Imo Lazio fucked it up. The huge ego of their president will cost them a lot. Lotito didn't want to accept anything less than 18m eur while Pandev didn't want to stay in Lazio. If Lotito lowered his demands to more reasonable 12-13m eur it would've ended well for both parties. Now, instead, both Lazio and Pandev are fucked up. The team will get no money for Pandev, while Pandev won't play football for at least half a year.

It would be a good signing but i really doubt Trez will leave come january.

Oh, maybe. I just saw how they mentioned he could play in the cl, I assumed they talked about January directly. But what you said makes sense.

Plus, selling him in January will be impossible unless Lotito suddenly completely change his mind. Pandev is even suing Lazio and Lotito proclaimed war against him.
I really don't see Lazio selling him in January for peanuts when they refused to sell him for good money this summer. They already lost a lot by not selling him and i think they'll sacrifice the 4-5m eur they'd get from him in January if they sell him, just so he'd be punished and spend an entire year without football.

Btw, do you guys follow Gazzetta's list of the 30 hottest talents born 1989 or later?
They've been doing the list for more than a month now and they're at 12th place now.

This is the list:
http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/giovani_stelle.shtml

And this is the latest adition to the list, and a player i'd like to know more about:
http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/04-09-2009/next-generation-dzagoev-501210869476.shtml

Alan Dzagoev. He's a trequartista and he just turned 19 this summer. He's #10 in CSKA Moscow, he's their playmaker and he's Hiddink's favorite (also plays for Russian NT).
I caught him once when CSKA played Spartak last year and i was literally shocked when i saw his talent. I forgot about him ever since and i had no idea that he was only 18 back then ( i thought he's in his mid 20's or older).
Anyone from the Russians here to tell us more about the kid? Is he consistently playing at high level or did i have the luck to catch one of his good matches?

According to Gazzetta Hiddink reccomended him to Chelsea. :(

Seen 2-3 games of him in U-NT game and 2 Uefa's (tuned in to see Zhirkov and Krasic, both fun players), and defenitely a special talent, even if bit raw. Think he will stay in Russia for quite a while, so dont think he is going anywhere any time soon. But considering Roman owns part of CSKA, him going to Chelsea down the line will be very predictable.
