He was real good, if not MOM in the first game in the 21 euros against Italy Showed clear class, and yeah he isnt defensive or offensively, but bit dynamic, bit of both, showed good technique and passing while being able to boss defensively a little.

It was too bad he got injured only played 1 game, because I very much doubt he would been so cheap if he played more. Even if the price is mainly because he is signed from Slovak team, they cant demand much I guess.

I like Matic too. 2m € is a freakin' bargain. Berg was my fav at that tournament. Sold for something like 10m € to Hamburg and scored in his 1st game. Another good one with Sweden was Elm and Kačar from Serbia. Beck and Höwedes are others who caught my attention. I woukd have liked to see Obradovic play more but he came back from injury.

The only players id want as an upgrade to our defence would have been Benzema or Torres but that aint happening.

I just re-read your post. It's more of a case of Ailton a couple of years ago, or Alfonso Alves in the Eredivise; he's no Élber I know that much.

Džeko would be an option, but fullback should be a priority.
