He isnt insane at all, he has been quite cordial and understanding with Lavezzi quite alot, but there is a reason he is putting down his foot now, Lavezzi REALLY has been a big ass with them, completely being unprofessional and being quite of a dick outside the pitch. And demanding double salary when he has did shit last season etc.

You cant let players ride you so much, everything said by Lavezzi and few other players close to him wouldnt be accepted elsewhere, totally boozing, going to whore houses, goes to party in his yatcht or whatever when there is training camp etc. Stuff that wouldnt be accepted for a second elsewhere.

P.S If Trez leaves, even if it would be direct competition with Giovinco, I would sign Lavezzi if it means a reasonable price, nothing over 15m IMO.

Indeed, if the offer is reasonable, then he would come in handy.

That doesnt mean I think fullbacks arent a bigger priority, by a long shot, but sadly doesnt seem like our club thinks so.

Agreed
But he could come as long as Ferrara is our coach..as IMO he can control his behavior well.

Arsenal are considering selling Eboue to Fiorentina, it would be so perfect if we hijacked that. Totally the dynamic offensive RB we need. If only we could sell Grygera...

De Ceglie and Sali can play there and if urgently needed, Chiellini can fill the position.
De Ceglie (injury problems?) can but I'm not so sure about Salihamidzic. He can, but it's not his position and it makes our defense look very bad. Chiellini can play there indeed, very well infact but...it move would make our central defense a lot weaker. I know we can cover it, but I'd like if we have a better option when it's our left side. It's hard to decide though because Zebina is injury prone so even if we get some RB you can't say it's a bad move.

I think this is exactly why we aren't investing in wing backs and especially now with a new coach. We need to realize exactly what we need to make the right investment. That and the lack of available players at reasonable prices.

If we get Careces then he can play CB with Canna and move Chiellini out left. That would still be a strong backline with Zebina on the right. But, DC needs to be given time to play this preseason hopefully to get a good idea of what he is capable of. We need another RB before we get a LB. Grygera can play LB, not well, plus Molinaro and DC and Sali. I don't like Grygera as backup to Zebina, that is why Caceres would be nice.

I think we will have to manage this year with what we have and Ciro is going to have to teach them (defense) to play smart. No use buying just to buy for the sake of filling a position. If we are going to spend the money then spend it wisely on a player that will make a huge difference and step up in quality. I don't like the idea of buying each summer a new player with a little better quality than the last. We have good depth now, so lets focus on what we do have until a prime opportunity comes where we can invest in some big purchases to someone who becomes available or within our price range.

I do like the idea of getting Caceras but it's exatly what I meant before. Moving Chiellini on the left would desturb the central defense and I'm against it for server reasons.

- I still prefer Chiellini in the center
- Cannavaro would spend more time on the bench if we get Caceras IMO
- I simply don't like the idea of Cannavaro-Caceras in the middle (you know, they are both new players here and they have never played together, it's where we'd benefit from having Chiellini next to Caceras/Cannavaro)

I think this is exactly why we aren't investing in wing backs and especially now with a new coach. We need to realize exactly what we need to make the right investment. That and the lack of available players at reasonable prices.
Fair enough.

I don't think anyone likes the idea of moving Chiellini to the side but if due to suspensions and injuries we have Chiellini, Caceres, Legro and Zebina available ONLY, how would you place them?

@Dusan: I don't want chiellini at left back but if its needed as JCK pointed out under certain circumstances then its not bad because it wouldn't happen often.
