Nacho Novo?

I won't pretend i watch any SPL. But i do see them from time to time in the CL and UEFA Cup. I don't think Novo is that good. I certainly don't think he's good enough to be playing for Roma.

Maybe Boz and Red could offer more insight on this.

Well at the moment Taddei isn't good enough to be playing for Roma too, before few years he was an excellent winger, but right know they definetly wouldn't sign him if he already wasn't theirs.

Well at least i don't rate him higher than Nacho Novo or Artur Boruc, but you might be right.
Novo and Boruc are far from the best players in Scotland. Boruc has been terrible for two seasons in a row and Novo isn't even a regular for Rangers.

Having said that there are currently no players in Scotland who would be good enough to play for Juventus, or even Roma for that matter.

I read that Rangers have financial problems and they've put every single player out for sale. Could we use the likes of Barry Ferguson/Saša Papac/any other? I don't really watch them, so Red/Boz? Balkan guys on Papac? :)
they may be good enough for a Reggina of this world but they would make Marcionni look like Pele

Rangers do have financial problems, but none of the team would be good enough for Juventus.

:lol2:

No Rangers player would be worth a place in the Juve squad, never mind the first team.

Just sit back and laugh at Rangers' problems, instead of suggesting we give them any money
well said that man

I think it was only in 2007 he won it.

The award should be called 'Old Firm Player of the Season', because no other player is even seriously considered.

The media is so Old Firm biased it is unreal.

You have to consider how much harder it is for non-Old Firm players to look good week in week out. I could name players from Old Firm players for various years recently who would have been worthy winners, but they never had a chance to win an award.

Recently, Berra (formerly Hearts, now Wolves), Robson (then Dundee Utd, now Celtic) and Anderson (then Aberdeen, now Sunderland) all deserved it at some point.
agreed Andy, plus the biasness of the whole system really shows through in the player/manager selections though tbh i was astonished that Lazslo won the manager of the year award from the media and the sponsors but not surprised that his fellow managers did not even consider him

Nacho Novo is terrible, he has pace and workrate but one of the worst finishers you will ever see

James McCarthy could progress into a top player in a few years and Lee Wallace has progressed incredibly the last year and a half and i feel he could play at a much higher level

:howler:

Have you watched Boruc in the last year or so?

He is a fat, lazy, drunk who made countless stupid mistakes in the last year:

Novo is just fast, like Bozi said.

He is also a complete cunt.

In the matches for Poland in WC2006 and EC2008 Boruc was great, i don't follow the SPL though (saw some Iverness CT matches since one latvian guy played for them last season), so my impression on Boruc is based on his performances for his country.
Too bad Novo ain't regular for Rangers anymore, he was their only watchable player in the season they reached UEFA Cup final, i kinda liked the guy, if you can like anyone from the team who plays such football. But as you see, my knowledge about SPL players are based on either international matches or UEFA competitions, so nothing to laugh about here. :irritated

I seen this guy in some matchens in La Liga also seen some youtube clips..

He impressed me.. Anyone who has seen more of him?
I think Emana is easily Betis's best player last season even though its his first season playing in the Green&White.

A tough tackler who plays juz behind the forwards (Betis is playing with 1 striker most of the time) linking up the midfield and the front line. Not the Diego kind of player but definitely more direct in his approach.

I do not know if he is more adaptable to other midfield roles other than the role he is playing in Betis as what he does there will be quite similar to what Diego will be doing here next season.
If he does not command a sky-high fee or mind playing 2nd fiddle to Diego or maybe even Sissoko, he will be a valuable addition.
I will pick him over Hamsik or Ledesma easily ...

Having said that, a player of his characteristic is not of Juve's priorities now ...

Emana is a decent player. But i wouldn't say he's good enough to be playing for Juve. As backup maybe, but definitely not as a starter.

btw, he used to be a DM. But when elie Baup took on Toulouse he transformed him into an attacking midfielder. His career has been going upwards ever since.
