25m for him is wayyy to much. Maybe in another 2 years, but definitely not now. 3 goals for Italy and suddenly he is the next best thing....he is good, but not worth that much

In Another 2 years, at his rate of improvement, 25 mil wouldn't even be close enough to even enter negotiations with Villareal.

Besides, in 2 years, the replacement for Del Piero will be of an even greater need, thereby putting Juventus in a position of desperation

You could say the same thing about LB. We are in desperate need of outside backs so clubs could easily milk us for that desperation knowing we need to spend to get one.

I would keep Poulsen rather than spending an extra 10-12m to get Diarra.

WHOA 20m for a 28 yr old chronic knee problematic player? move back to d'ago please.

18m plus trez? still dont know where we will come up with that money and strengthen our midfield and defense.
Priority are fullbacks. Rossi or not, we'll get goals by Amauri, Iaquinta and DP. Getting a forward is the last thing we should be worrying about.

I see this sequence of events happening:

We'll seal the Rossi deal (if Trezeguet accepts the yellow submarine) and we'll include Giovinco in the D'Agostino deal.
    I wouldn't do it.

Exactly, Rossi is a luxury. Unless somehow there is something we don't know about like a new RB and Criscito really coming back plus a CM then no, let's just hold off on Rossi otherwise all the great offensive players in the world won't win us games if we continue to hemorrhage goals like we did the second half of last season.

another thing I don't understand is why sell Mellberg for a couple of millions? Are we getting somebody better and cheaper? Lugano? We can't afford another good CB for cheap. Are we putting everything on Ariaudo's shoulders? I'm sure we won play every game with Canna and Chiello so should we take that risk. Thankfully Legro is still there.

I may have used the wrong word but I don't see Cannavaro playing the whole year and we need to use the turnover wisely.

Why not Ariaudo for me is not far from Mellberg ... Ariaudo as a 4th choice would show him that we believe in him.. he would get some playing time and I believe he would do it good

I do believe in him.. And I know that Ferrara is a huge fan of him.. I read that Ferrara said that he believes very much in Ariaudo and that he can be a great CB.

We must belive in our youngsters instead of having mediocre players like Brazzo,Mellberg, in the team.

:agree: I have high hopes for Ariaudo.

He can take over as the handsome squad member after Paolo DC is shipped out too. :p
