Thiago for Tiago
Juventus are planning to exchange Portuguese midfielder Tiago for Genoa's Thiago Motta, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Motta has been a revelation this season, inspiring the Grifone to within a hair's breadth of the Champions League.
He joined Genoa from Atletico Madrid for free in the summer and has scored six goals in 23 appearances this season.
The Grifone have reportedly slapped a £15m price tag on Motta, whose career many thought was over when he left Barcelona in 2007.
Juventus are apparently unwilling to meet that asking price, but will go some way to meeting it by offering Tiago as a makeweight.
The status of Domenico Criscito and Raffaele Palladino could also work in Juventus' favour as they look to make a deal.
The Bianconeri part own the two players, who have been at Genoa this season and they could let them go for Motta.
Tiago would move to the Grifone on loan until the end of next season as well with Juventus paying his contract in full.
Genoa have their doubts about taking the Portuguese outright because of his well publicised difficulties at Juventus.
Tiago, who turns 28 tomorrow, has made just 34 appearances for the Bianconeri since joining from Lyon in 2007.
